WARRANTY

For issues regarding warranty, or should you have a complaint, please contact your Guilty Living sales representative in the first instance. Guilty Living offers a warranty that exceeds legislative requirements: you will receive no less than a 5-year warranty.

If an outdoor living product or part defects due to manufacturing or regular domestic use, Guilty Living will, at its discretion, repair the defect, refinish the product, or replace the defective part. The warranty covers parts only and not the installation of the damaged part. For self-installation, the customer is responsible for replacing the part. Guilty Living cannot be held liable for installation fees if our installation service is not used.

REPLACEMENT

When a replacement is required and the model or color is no longer available (e.g., from an older collection), Guilty Living reserves the right to replace the defective piece with a similar product. Each replacement applies primarily to the defective part or piece of furniture, not to the entire set. A repair, refinish, or replacement does not affect the original warranty period.

WARRANTY PROCEDURE

In the event of a defect, it is the buyer’s responsibility to contact their Guilty Living sales representative with a copy of the purchase receipt. Guilty Living will complement the warranty request with the event date, product code, and description of the problem and submit it to the manufacturer. Guilty Living and the manufacturer will then handle the completion of the warranty procedure.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

The warranty period starts from the moment of purchase from a Guilty Living sales representative and only applies to regular domestic use. The original receipt serves as a warranty certificate. Warranty covers construction and material defects present at delivery. Damage caused by improper use (such as abnormal loads), deterioration by aggressive substances, improper maintenance, repairs by non-Guilty Living representatives, covering of furniture, incorrect assembly, natural material properties, and failure to follow user instructions are excluded from the warranty.

Further exclusions include:

– Defects due to normal wear and extreme weather conditions
– Scratches due to use (plastic and aluminum)
– Cracking, tearing, and discoloration (wood)
– Rust formation from the inside due to condensation (steel)
– Shrinkage, discoloration, wear, and reduced carrying capacity in textiles over time

PROTECTION

Teak has a natural, soft, golden brown color. To retain this color, treat teak with a ‘protector’ or ‘patinizer’. Untreated teak will fade to silver grey naturally. The level of maintenance depends on the desired color. Frequent treatment with a patinizer or protector is recommended to prevent weathering. This coating protects the furniture against the elements.

CLEANING

Grease stains on teak wood furniture can usually be removed with detergent and warm water. For weathered surfaces or difficult stains, a ‘cleaner’ may be necessary.
